Now's the perfect time to start thinking ahead to the Autumn and what new hobbies you might like to have a go at. Any kind of crafting takes us out of ourselves and is the perfect way to practise mindfulness and de-stress from our busy lives. Here's what we've got planned for the next month or so, or you can browse all of our classes here.
Everybody's welcome at our weekly social 'Needles and Natter' session, every Thursday afternoon, between 2 and 4 o'clock, so please come and join us.
Do you have many unfinished 'Works In Progress'? Don't forget our UFO days to come and use our space to work - uninterrupted! The next one is Friday 31st August.

Wednesday 5th September 10am to 1pm Cost: £20
Hand stitching is so relaxing. Come and learn this effective embroidery technique with Fran Scott. When finished, the embroidery could be used to create a wallhanging or appliqued onto a cushion, or could be used as part of a larger project, such as an embroidered quilt .

Learn to crochet the classic granny square! In this three hour beginners' class, you'll learn to create a granny square that can be used as a drinks coaster or as the start of a larger project such as a blanket, accessory or anything else you can think of!

Come and learn to make something really beautiful!
This workshop will teach you bargello quilting techniques.
A bargello quilt is one that is made of strips of fabric sewn together to create curves and movement and gives incredibly effective results.

If you've always wanted to have a go at making a patchwork quilt, this course is for you!
This beginners' course consists of 2 workshops, which cover the basics of patchwork and quilting. At the end of the 2 sessions, you will have the skills to create a delightful quilt with a design like the one in the picture.

On this course you will spend the day creating your own fabulous textile piece featuring flowers, grasses and seed heads. This workshop is the perfect introduction to free motion embroidery for complete beginners. Other ability levels are also welcome, of course!

Saturday 15th September 10am to 4pm Cost: £45
Discover the art of 3D needle felting and create your very own delightful needle felted sheep. In this full day, fun and creative workshop, Ruth will teach you the traditional techniques of needle felting and you'll create your very own, very cute, sheep to take home with you.

Wednesay 3rd October 10am to 4pm Cost: £45
On this full day creative workshop, you will produce your own piece of felted wool art. Maxine will help you to combine fleece, yarns and simple stitches to create a piece of artwork inspired by the natural world - such as a hedgerow/garden scene or a landscape. Your beautiful finished piece will be framed for you to take home.
