Sparrows quilt-as-you-go block of the month group running over six months with an initial deposit of £60 leaving £20 to be paid each month after that. 
 
The group will be running on the second Friday of the month - starting on October 11th - 10am-1pm. Subsequent dates will be 8th November, 13th December, January 10th, February 7th and March 14th. 
 
This beautiful Sparrows quilt is made up of 24 blocks. We will be adapting the pattern by assembling the blocks using a quilt-as-you-go method. This means no hauling a big quilt through your machine to try to quilt it! The Sparrows could be changed into Robins with your choices of fabric, if you wanted a wintery theme.
 
Fabric and initial cutting requirements will be sent out prior to the BOM starting - help will be available if required and the BOM will run as follows:
 
Month one - cutting out fabrics and prepping backing pieces and wadding for each block.
Month two - assemble a block
Month three - quilt and join two blocks
Month four - block assembly / sewing
Month five - join rows*
Month six - border and binding
 
*NB: all blocks will need to have been sewn and quilted before month five
