Come and learn this fabulous embroidery technique. It gives such beautiful results.
Sandra Johnston and Katherine Prior will teach you how to use buttons and other embellishments such as rings, shells, beads etc, to make a beautiful piece of raised embroidery work. You will be shown how to begin the piece and how to embroider and embellish it as you go, and it will form the basis of a piece that you can take home to finish. It could then be used to form the central piece of a cushion cover, or be put into a box frame. Hopefully it will inspire you to do more!!
Although this workshop covers the basics, which some of you may have done with us last time, it will also provide an opportunity to take the work a little further by the use of other fabrics laid over the work, other colours, and to make smaller pieces of work that you will probably be able to near enough complete on the day.
This class is suitable for all levels, beginners as well as those who would like to develop their work further.
