Dorset buttons have been made for over 300 years. Originating in Dorset, they are characteristically made by repeatedly binding yarn over a disc or ring former. There are four main forms and a large number of individual styles within these, some of which can be seen in the photograph.
Laureen will show you how to make a variety of these styles and will supply the rings needed to create them.
